● Learning and Developing Skills: As a trainee, a significant part of the job will involve learning new programming languages, software development methodologies, and tools. They will also learn about the company's procedures and protocols. ● Assisting in Software Development: Trainees will often be involved in actual software development projects but under the guidance of a senior engineer or supervisor. They might write code, fix bugs, test software, etc., on a smaller scale or less complex parts of a larger project. ● Testing and Debugging: Under supervision, a trainee may also participate in testing newly developed software for any issues or bugs. ● Participate in Code Reviews: Being part of code reviews can provide opportunities to learn from experienced engineers and understand the best practices in coding and software design. ● Documentation: They may be involved in creating and updating documentation, a critical aspect of software development, including writing reports, manuals, and other detailed descriptions of the program's operation. ● Attending Meetings and Workshops: Trainees often attend team meetings and may participate in brainstorming sessions, stand-ups, or project planning.
