Job Description

1. Post Name : Project Engineer, Technical Officer, Assistant Project Engineer, Senior Artisan. 2. Total Vacancies : 32 post s. 3. Education Qualification : Project Engineer on Contract (PE‑C): B.E./B.Tech with at least 60% aggregate marks (50% for SC/ST where reserved) in relevant disciplines such as Electronics, ECE, ETC, EEE, E&I, CSE, IT, CSIT, Mechanical/Electrical with NDT Level‑II (for Kudankulam) along with a minimum of 3 years post‑qualification experience; apprenticeship in the relevant field up to 1 year is also counted as experience. Technical Officer on Contract (TO‑C): B.E./B.Tech with at least 60% aggregate marks (50% for SC/ST where reserved) in Electronics/Electrical/ECE/ETC/EEE/E&I/CSE/IT and minimum 1 year post‑qualification experience; apprenticeship up to 1 year is countable towards experience. Assistant Project Engineer on Contract (APE‑C): Diploma with at least 60% aggregate marks (50% for SC/ST where reserved) in ECE/ETC/Electronics/EEE/Instrumentation and minimum 1 year post‑qualification experience including relevant apprenticeship. Senior Artisan on Contract (SA‑C): ITI passed in Electronics, Electrician, Electronic Mechanic, Instrumentation or Radio & TV trades with minimum 2 years post‑qualification experience (including up to 1 year apprenticeship) in maintenance/repair of electronics, instrumentation systems, communication gadgets or computers. 4. Age Limit (UR): Project Engineer – maximum 33 years; Technical Officer, Assistant Project Engineer and Senior Artisan – maximum 30 years. Age relaxation is 3 years for OBC, 5 years for SC/ST, an additional 10 years for PwBD (40% and above) over category relaxation, and 5 years for candidates domiciled in J&K from 01.01.1980 to 31.12.1989. 5. Selection Process : The ECIL Contract Recruitment 2026 selection for Project Engineer, Technical Officer, Assistant Project Engineer and Senior Artisan will be based on walk‑in registration, document verification and personal interview with a weighted merit system. Shortlisting & Evaluation: After on‑spot registration and successful verification of original documents, candidates will be evaluated on three components – (A) Qualification: 20% of aggregate percentage scored in BE/B.Tech/Diploma/ITI; (B) Relevant Experience: up to 30 marks based on post‑qualification experience as per post‑specific rules; and (C) Personal Interview: 50 marks. Final Merit & Offer: Final recommendations will be prepared in order of merit based on total score (A+B+C). Experience from purely academic internships, college projects etc. is not counted. Selected candidates will be engaged on fixed‑tenure contract and must be willing to work anywhere in India as per ECIL’s project requirements.
